This place is almost 300 meters up in the mountain, on the high-pass towards Rekvik. The road from Tromvik up to Revik is unpaved and not very busy. You will have an amazing view down to Tromvik and the island of Vengsøya. It is also a starting point for the hike to the mountain top of Gløshaugen. The hike does not take long and will give you great view. From the top of Gløshaugen you can follow the midnight sun. There is a fireplace, but you will not find any wood around that spot. In the Aurora season this spot is perfect to watch, but you can be sure you will not be alone. Many Northern Lights guides from Tromsø are bringing their clients up here. The road will be cleaned, check the weather forecast just to be sure.

  • Great location. We've been there last year already and returned this year cause we liked the spot so much. Unfortunately it was very windy and too much snow on the parking, so we parked further down to Tromvik. But it was nice anyway. Maybe next year again?! :)

  • Did not disappoint! Got here around 5pm in the dark, met three other people then I was alone until one bus arrived at 10, they stayed for 15 mins then I was alone again. 10/10. Northern lights put on a dance across the peaks from about 6pm to 9pm
